I have over sixteen years’ experience in media and advertising, having held senior board-level positions at a number of leading agencies.  My past experience and areas of expertise cover a broad spectrum, from strategy and planning to commercial management and account leadership - both in the UK and Globally.  I’ve been fortunate enough to have worked with some of the world’s largest, fastest growing, and most innovative brands.  This work has covered most business sectors, with a particular focus on Technology, Toys, Retail and FMCG.  Most recently I was Group Client Partner at Carat leading a large range of accounts including Mondelez and LEGO.

Having witnessed the continued disruption to the client / agency / media owner landscape over the past few years, I believe that demands for more flexible approach to fill gaps in capability on all sides will only increase.  I therefore made the decision to start operating as a freelance media consultant in 2018, enabling me to work with an even more eclectic and exciting group of agencies and clients.

Carat  (Jan 2015 – December 2017)
Group Client Partner

I led Carat’s largest ‘village’, a hybrid team of 60+ UK and Global account leads, managers, strategists, planners and digital specialists.

Fully responsible for driving growth and delivering a shadow P&L back to Carat across the village’s group of UK & Global accounts (Mondelēz UK, LEGO Global, LEGO UK, Reckitt Benckiser Global, Arla Global, Arla UK and Premier Foods).

Regularly led global and regional pitches as well as identifying and converting new business opportunities locally.

Sat on the Carat UK Leadership Board, responsible for defining and driving the direction of the agency. My particular focus was on improving the overall quality of our work, and delivering digital transformation.

Member of the Carat UK board, and lead across the GM and Kellogg’s accounts.

 

Lowe Profero  (Mar 2013 – Jul 2014)
Head of Media Strategy

Joint Managing Director responsibility for the Lowe Profero UK media business with P&L ownership and a direct client leadership role on key accounts.

Led media strategy and creative media thinking across all Lowe Profero clients, including Marks & Spencer, Western Union and FedEx.

Developed Lowe Profero’s agency wide media planning framework, delivering ongoing training and inspiration sessions.

Created the ‘Extensions’ programme, expanding Lowe Profero’s remit beyond traditional digital media channels.

 

Mindshare UK  (Dec 2011 – Mar 2013)
Client Director

Led the Post Office, Motorola, and TK Maxx accounts.

Oversaw the full range of Mindshare services; analytics, strategy, media planning, creative, direct, digital and buying.

Part of the core team that developed and delivered Storytelling (Mindshare’s planning philosophy).
